Colors and mana
White, blue, black, red, and green — five philosophies of Magic, shown here as the five basic lands.
Plains
White
Peace, order, and the open plains.
White magic builds communities, laws, and shining walls. It heals, protects, and asks a table to stand in the same light. On this site it shows up as soldiers, enchantments, and tidy mana bases.
Islands
Blue
Knowledge, patience, and the turning tide.
Blue magic wants another draw, another counter, another turn to think. Island lists on this site are the control seats, the tempo mages, and the flashback spells that replay yesterday.
Swamps
Black
Ambition, sacrifice, and the lantern in the fog.
Black magic pays life and cards for power. It is removal, tutors, and the quiet promise that someone else will lose first. Midrange and reanimator lists wear it well.
Mountains
Red
Freedom, impulse, and the mountain's fire.
Red magic does not wait. It is goblin scouts, prowess triggers, and the bolt that ends a game before the other player finishes shuffling. Charming, loud, and often 1-drop deep.
Forests
Green
Growth, instinct, and the forest's strength.
Green magic wants more land, larger creatures, and a board that feels like a canopy. Landfall, elves, and ramp lists are its current dialect in Standard and beyond.
Lists live on the format pages. Shop gear uses the same Amazon short links as One Piece Deck Base. Card buy buttons use the same TCGplayer partner ID.
